On C5 Corvettes it’s very common for the shift indicator light, some call it the gear indicator light, to be burned-out. After years of use and thousands of heat cycles the socket becomes brittle and fails. Until now your only option was to go to a wrecking yard and try to talk the operator out of selling one from a complete harness. Now you can quickly and easily replace the burned-out socket with an all new socket and pigtail using the supplied crimp connectors. Result – lighting problem solved!
This pigtail works on 1984-1996 automatic transmission equipped cars too, but the wire color is different on these models.
