73-78 Corvettes from the factory had a round case muffler which can be seen below your rear valance or bumper. In 79-82 GM went back to an oval case muffler, similar to what was used in 63-72. This muffler tucked up under the car and was not visible under your bumper. We call these "Hideaways."

1970-1974 BIG BLOCK (454) AUTOMATIC front exhaust pipe
1968-1979 2-1/2" AUTOMATIC intermediate pipe

Exhaust system components are made from 14 gauge (.070) aluminized pipe.
