Liner Information: Your new accessories will come to you with a protective surface liner. Leave this liner in place until the installation is complete to prevent finger prints and or possible scratches during installation.
1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the large black cap attached to the side of the factory headlight bucket as well as the two factory screws. NOTE: These will not be reused.
3. Set the new cover in position to get acquainted with its placement aligning the holes.
4. You have been supplied with four 3/4'' washer head type GM threaded screws. These screws specifically match the threaded clip nut installed on the headlight top hat and should be check prior to installation by threading them in or matching them to the screws you removed.
5. Remove the protective liner and then set the cover in place. Align the holes and install the screws. Be careful not to over tighten the screws as this will cause the cover to warp. Just snug will work fine.
6. The last thing to do will be to correct the final position by hand so that the cover will not bind when the headlight goes up or down. This can be done by gently pulling out on the cover correcting its position to allow a smooth operation and adequate clearance.
7. Repeat for opposite side.
